ANALYTICS MANAGER – RETAIL

Up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

London – Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

Are you ready to step into a leadership role where your insights will shape product strategy, marketing performance, and wider commercial decision-making? A household name in retail is seeking an experienced Analytics Manager to lead a high-performing team and embed analytics at the heart of the business.

THE ROLE:

As Analytics Manager, you will take ownership of key data strategy initiatives while mentoring a growing team of analysts. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing and brand teams to deliver strategic insights that drive value and support trade and brand targets. From statistical modelling to process optimisation, you’ll be a go-to expert for uncovering opportunities and delivering business impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of analysts, fostering both technical development and commercial thinking
  • Collaborating closely with marketing, BMD, and product teams to deliver analytics that support business priorities
  • Building advanced models using techniques such as random forest, linear regression, and k-means clustering
  • Translating analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement in data quality and adoption of insights across the organisation
  • Identifying opportunities to enrich data assets and embed data-driven thinking across the business
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and sharing knowledge to elevate analytics maturity

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years’ experience in analytics roles with strong technical and leadership credentials
  • Proficiency in tools such as Python, SQL, and/or R
  • Proven experience delivering advanced analytical projects and modelling techniques
  • Ability to turn complex insights into compelling stories that influence non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills, from scoping through to delivery
  • A track record of mentoring or leading junior analysts and supporting their growth
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on business impact and optimisation
