Overview:
A prominent financial services company is seeking a Finance & IT Business Analyst with a background in finance transformation, finance system implementations, and process optimisation. This role focuses on supporting a major Finance Transformation Project, including the rollout of a new ERP system, Treasury Management System, and Reporting & Consolidation Tools.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level analyst with strong technical expertise to work across finance, IT, and operations, driving system configurations, process improvements, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance Transformation: Support the implementation of new finance systems, ensuring alignment with both business and regulatory requirements.
- Process Optimisation: Assess and document current financial processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, IT, and business teams to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Systems Configuration: Collaborate with third-party vendors and IT teams to configure finance system functionalities across areas such as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and cash management.
- Data & Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with financial regulations (e.g., IFRS, Basel III).
- User Support & Training: Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to support system adoption.
- Testing & UAT: Define test cases, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate system functionality.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with new finance system implementations, particularly across financial modules.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, banking operations, and accounting principles.
- Experience with business process mapping, automation, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI).
- Ability to engage with cross-functional teams, translating complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience handling challenging conversations.
