Job Description:

Visa Government Solutions (VGS) are responsible for taking all Visa Solutions, Consumer, CMS and VAS, to the public sector vertical. This is a strategic global business for Visa, recently established in 2022, with a dedicated team for this market.

This role focuses on business development, leading efforts to identify and onboard new fintech and tech partners selling to government agencies for Visa solutions. You will develop strategies, identify potential partners, and build a pipeline of opportunities.

The role requires building relationships with C-level executives and informing decision makers to position Visa solutions as the best fit for government opportunities. Collaboration across Visa’s business lines and leveraging global teams are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead prospecting and customer acquisition strategies beyond existing Visa relationships, building new stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordinate with Account Executives to align opportunities with customer success and account plans.
  • Research market trends to identify new clients and opportunities, introducing innovative solutions.
  • Assess deal potential based on Visa product knowledge and involve specialists to drive deals.
  • Identify and address ‘hidden’ client needs to build confidence in Visa solutions.
  • Adopt a client-first sales approach, creating tailored solutions to grow Visa and client businesses.
  • Negotiate deal margins effectively, closing deals efficiently based on value.
  • Leverage internal and external partnerships to deliver optimal solutions to clients.

This position is hybrid; days in the office will be confirmed by your manager.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Senior B2B sales experience, especially in digital products or solutions.
  • Experience selling to fintech customers, including public sector and government.

Knowledge Focus Areas:

  • Understanding of various sales cycles and stages.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to lead and manage new customer acquisition activities across the sales cycle.
  • Strong collaboration skills across internal teams and external partners.
  • Passion for payments, fintech, and related industries, with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Resilience and proactive approach to achieving ambitious goals.
