Senior Pricing Actuary – Reinsurance

Arthur is delighted to be working with a global specialty reinsurance provider who are seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to join their Treaty Pricing team.

This is a high-profile role offering exposure to a broad range of complex risks and the opportunity to contribute directly to underwriting decisions across international portfolios.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide actuarial support for the pricing of treaty reinsurance contracts
2. Work closely with underwriters and clients to deliver pricing analysis
3. Carry out portfolio and profitability analyses to support business planning and strategic decision-making
4. Maintain, enhance and develop existing and new pricing tools in line with needs of the business
5. Collaborate with colleagues across Pricing, Claims, Reserving and Risk functions.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) with London or Lloyds Market experience
2. Strong understanding of treaty pricing across property and casualty lines.
3. Proficient in MS Excel; skills in R or Python are an advantage.
4. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
5. Analytical mindset with an interest in understanding drivers of claims experience and legislative trends.
