This role is primarily hybrid with home working and office working. Traveling is also expected with this role across the UK and internationally.
The role of Global Repair Services Director involves developing strategies and managing global operations to deliver timely, cost-effective repair services that support business growth and customer satisfaction. This leadership role oversees repair operations, including managing people and processes of both third-party and in-house solutions.
Building strong relationships with the Services organization and third-party service providers is essential. Effective communication with regional customer service, product development, and Quality Engineering teams is also crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a global repair services strategy aligned with Motorola Solutions’ goals, focusing on efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee global repair operations, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to SLAs across regions and technologies.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with SLAs, quality, and costs, leveraging advanced capabilities like automation and AI diagnostics.
- Define and monitor KPIs for repair services, continuously improving service delivery.
- Manage parts inventory, supply chain, and logistics to minimize downtime and ensure material availability.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, adopt new technologies, and enhance service quality.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Quality Engineering to improve product reliability.
- Manage repair services budget and optimize resource allocation for cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years in repair services, with at least 5 years in leadership.
- Experience managing global operations in a Fortune 500 environment.
- Strong knowledge of repair processes, supply chain, and customer service in communications.
- Analytical skills for interpreting data and making decisions.
- Negotiation skills for managing third-party relationships.
- Leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing large budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
