Head of Sales – evolving to CCO
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, for a Head of Sales (with a structured pathway leading to a Chief Commercial Officer role), for an exciting Cardiff based SaaS company.
The role:
You will take full responsibility for executing the company sales plan and meeting revenue targets. This is a hands-on sales leader position, where you will be a natural hunter of new business across the UK, and look to a build a sales team around you as the business expands. A very rewarding and flexible role within an exciting business that is offering an equity package for the right candidate.
Duties:
– Initiate sales opportunities, and hunting for qualified prospects (predominantly enterprise sales).
– Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting the companies key sectors.
– Execute a complex, solution-based sales process encompassing multiple groups & top-(C)level decision makers.
– Manage complete sales cycle from lead identification through customer relationship management and deal closure.
– Develop and nurture relationships with high value customer base.
– Pipeline discipline is crucial for this role.
– Provide sales forecasts and reporting to the Board.
Essential skills:
– 5+ years B2B sales experience in solution based sales, preferably SaaS sales.
– Extensive experience of working in a client facing, strategic sales role.
– Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth company where change is a constant.
– Outstanding communication, presentation and written skills – a polished performer.
– Be a true new business hunter, comfortable working on multiple opportunities simultaneously.
– Technology literate.
– Full UK driving licence as some occasional travel will be expected.
Nice to have (desirable but not essential):
– Experience selling technology based solutions.
– Platform sales experience.
The package:
– Basic salary of £70,000-£75,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
