Job Title: Community Stroke Rehab Occupational Therapist Band: 6Location: London, Greater LondonWorking Hours: 37.5 hoursRate: Competitive, to be discussed upon applicationAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our NHS dynamic Community Stroke Rehab team in London, Greater London. This position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates.Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to stroke patients in a community setting, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment programmes for individuals with stroke-related conditions. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. You will also engage in service evaluation, audit, and research to enhance the quality of care provided.Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in stroke rehabilitation and community settings.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience in a specific area of practice (e.g., neurology, geriatrics) is desirable.
  • Skills in group work and program planning are desirable.
  • Experience in service evaluation and research is desirable.
