Sheltered Retirement Housing Scheme Manager who has previous facilities / building and estate management and/or health and safety experience.Working as the Sheltered Retirement Housing Scheme Manager you will join a friendly team providing a people-centred service to retired residents, supporting the day-to-day running and management of the buildings, apartments and bungalows in the scheme, which make it easier for the users to live independently.As the Sheltered Retirement Housing Scheme Manager you will ensure health and safety, security and cleanliness of the highest standard for residents.DUTIESYour duties as a
Sheltered Retirement Housing Scheme Manager will include:Accountable for Health & Safety and Fire safety checks including comprehensive and clearly auditable recordsEffective management of the building and estate, including reporting repairs, undertaking fire alarms, conducting pull cord checks and effective recording of checks and raised issuesAssist the Housing and Lettings Team by completing viewings, assessments, tenancy sign up and induction meetings to ensure customers understand the tenancy agreement, their rights and obligations, service specification and property facilities, complying with legislative and accreditation requirementsManage the termination of tenancies and associated liaison with the voids, lettings team and contractorsProvide a person-centred service to customers that encapsulates the Retirement Living ethos utilising the provided tools and guides availableAccountable for appropriate and effective safeguarding reporting and actions, in line with legislation and internal reporting systemsResponsible for customer engagement and consultation, facilitate customers aspirations for social and wellbeing activities, proactively engaging with care, statutory, and voluntary agencies, ensuring the service and site is accessible to allManage facilities including guest rooms and communal room bookingsManage low level Anti-Social Behaviour cases in accordance with policies and procedures working with the Housing team and provide clear guidance to customers reporting Anti-Social BehaviourPoint of contact and liaison with all relevant agencies, both statutory and voluntary as requiredAssist customers to claim Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits, to ensure rent arrears are reduced and rent is paid regularly and on timeResponsible for regularly monitoring and reporting on the general safety and wellbeing of customers, including signposting, and referring customers to support services where appropriateManage low level complaints or dissatisfaction on site in accordance with company policies and proceduresCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSThe organisation wants you to bring your knowledge and experience to play your part in improving peoples lives.You wont necessarily have experience in this sector, transferrable skills and experience are recognised and will be just as valuable.Experience working with vulnerable people and community groupsExperienced, maintaining buildings health and safety requirements including regular inspections and monitoringBasic knowledge of welfare benefits and housing benefitsAble to commute to the housing scheme in Staines-upon-ThamesBENEFITS25 days holiday (Plus Bank Holidays) pro rata increasing up to 28 days pro rata with 3 years of serviceUp to 8% contributory pensionFlexible workingInvestment in your learning and developmentA generous annual allowance of up to £300 to use towards health and lifestyle benefits for both you and your familyCycle to Work Scheme whereby employees have access to cycling equipment throughout the year and can pay via monthly salary deductionsThe organisation recognises that some people will only apply for a role if they meet 100% of role requirements.If this sounds like you, theyd still encourage you to apply should you not feel you meet the criteria 100%.APPLY TODAYBy submitting your job application to us you are hereby giving us your express consent to submit your details to our Client for this purpose.JOB REF: AWDO-P13323Part-Time, Permanent Jobs, Careers and Vacancies.
