Their collaborative, innovation-led culture attracts some of the brightest minds in science and engineering, all driven by a shared mission to deliver life-changing solutions at the intersection of biology and technologyWe are looking for someone to work on a on an initial 6-month contract, sitting outside IR35.As a Senior Engineering Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimising specialised instruments within an ISO 13485-compliant setting. From supporting R&D teams to managing your own technical projects, this is an opportunity to contribute directly to innovation in the life sciences sector.Investigating and resolving issues with complex electromechanical instrumentation in a BSL-2 laboratory environment.* Running tests using control software and workshop tools to support ongoing product development.* Drafting and maintaining high-quality documentation (SOPs, BOMs, WIs, reports) in line with ISO 13485 regulations.* Independently managing tasks and small projects with minimal supervision.What we’re looking for in a Senior Engineering Technician:* Proven experience in an Engineering Technician role within medical devices, diagnostics, or another regulated industry.* CNC milling, 3D printing, laser cutting), electrical assembly, soldering, and basic CAD (SolidWorks).* Comfortable working in a wet lab or BSL-2 setting.* Familiarity with tools like Trello or JIRA for issue tracking and project visibility.Whether you’re currently working as a Senior Engineering Technician or stepping up into a senior technical support role in R&D, this London-based contract offers a chance to be part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values precision, creativity, and impact.Please apply online or contact Neil Walton at CY Partners for more information….
