City of London

£100,000 – £110,000 Basic plus package

Barnes Roffe Recruitment have partnered with a leading Engineering Client based in the City, in their search for a new HR Director. Reporting directly into the CEO, you will be integral in fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performance culture, aligned to their strategic goals. Their turnover is circa £80 Million and they employ 450 staff.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking people strategy that supports the overall business objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Partner with senior leadership to integrate people strategy with business strategy.
  • Lead the development and implementation of DE&I programs.
  • Foster an inclusive culture where diversity is valued and leveraged for innovation and business success.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices related to DE&I.
  • Lead people transformation initiatives to enhance employee engagement, performance, and organisational agility.
  • Implement innovative HR technologies and practices to improve efficiency and employee experience.
  • Drive change management processes to support organisational growth and transformation.
  • Build and develop a high-performing People team that delivers exceptional service and support to the organization.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders across the organisation to build their people management capabilities.
  • Promote leadership development programs to ensure a robust pipeline of future leaders.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Develop initiatives to improve the overall employee experience, from onboarding to career development.
  • Monitor and assess employee engagement levels and implement action plans to address areas of improvement.
  • Establish key People metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and inform decision-making.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on People initiatives, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Utilise data analytics to drive continuous improvement in People practices and outcomes.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain risk management strategies related to People operations.
  • Oversee employee relations and resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.

Key requirements:

  • It is anticipated that you will have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar Leadership role.
  • A background in the Engineering or Manufacturing industry would be a strong advantage.
  • You are likely to have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CIPD Level 5
