Job Description
Taylor Woodrow is looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of multiple National Highways projects. You’ll oversee 2–3 live sites, as well as support in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phases of upcoming works. The role will require a deep understanding of earthworks, drainage, and general civil engineering, as well as the ability to support both project planning and commercial forecasting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily site operations on multiple live projects ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Support the planning and programming of works in collaboration with the project team.
- Work closely with the commercial team to provide input for cost estimates, forecasts, and subcontractor management.
- Lead and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Take part in the ECI process to shape delivery strategy, buildability reviews, and risk identification.
- Liaise with the client, local stakeholders, and supply chain to maintain positive working relationships and ensure expectations are met.
- Monitor progress, manage subcontractors, and ensure project records are accurately maintained.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on infrastructure, highways, or civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and general civils.
- Familiarity with National Highways standards and procedures is desirable.
- Experience supporting planning activities and working alongside commercial teams on cost management.
- Comfortable working across multiple sites and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications.
