Our client is seeking a bright and motivated Legal Counsel to join their London-based legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the legal needs of a high-profile conglomerate with international operations.
The Role:
Working closely with the General Counsel, you will assist with a wide variety of legal matters including commercial contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory support. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on, negotiate, and draft various contracts, including terms of business and supplier agreements.
- Advising on legal issues related to business operations in the UK and abroad.
- Supporting compliance with regulatory and corporate governance frameworks.
- Provide day-to-day commercial legal support across the business.
- Liaising with external counsel on specialised matters.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Background in a leading city law firm or in-house legal team, ideally in a commercial or corporate setting.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Confident communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and lead your own matters as well as be able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable being based 5 days a week in a central London office.
