We are working with a fast growing and well funded scale up within the FinTech space and specialise in the car finance industry. With over £240m in funding secured and backing from some of the most respected investors in the space, they’re building tech-driven future with data at the forefront of what they do.
They’re now looking for a new Head of Data Science/Technical Lead to lead and evolve their credit and collections analytics strategy as well as boosting customer engagement. Whilst a senior position, this is still a very hands on position and the core focus of the role will be hands on technical work.
What you will be doing:
- Designing and leading the data science strategy across credit scoring, fraud prevention, and collections.
- Building and optimising data-driven lending models to increase acceptance while maintaining performance.
- Identifying algorithmic opportunities to mitigate fraud and improve operational efficiency.
- Driving collections and recovery performance through advanced analytics.
- Establishing testing frameworks to continuously enhance model effectiveness.
What they are Looking For
- 5+ years in an analytically rigorous role within a financial services environment.
- Proven experience in credit risk, affordability assessment, and fraud analytics.
- Hands-on knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques to enhance decisioning.
- Strong grasp of the regulatory landscape, particularly around responsible lending.
- A collaborative mindset with a desire to get stuck in and influence business outcomes.
