A leading international law firm with a strong Scottish presence is looking to recruit an experienced Real Estate Lawyer (2–4+ PQE) to join its nationally recognised Energy & Infrastructure team. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition, supporting some of the country’s most ambitious and high-value renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
This role sits within a dedicated real estate practice that is fully embedded in the firm’s wider Energy & Infrastructure offering, providing specialist advice across the lifecycle of projects, from development and land assembly through to financing, disposal, and operation.
What You’ll Work On:
You’ll act for a range of high-profile clients across the UK and internationally, including utilities, developers, institutional investors, and major corporates. Projects include:
- Onshore and offshore wind developments
- Solar PV farms and hybrid renewables
- Battery storage and grid infrastructure
- Hydrogen and emerging clean energy technologies
- Large-scale infrastructure corridors, ports, and energy hubs
Your work will focus on the real estate elements of these deals, including:
- Site acquisition and assembly for development projects
- Option agreements, leases, wayleaves, and easements
- Due diligence for project finance and M&A transactions
- Working alongside planning, construction, and regulatory specialists to deliver seamless, full-lifecycle advice
You’ll be supported by an expert team led by nationally recognised partners, and work closely with specialists across real estate, energy, and finance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified in Scotland, England & Wales, or dual-qualified
- 2–4+ PQE, ideally with experience in the property aspects of energy/infrastructure deals
- Strong technical grounding in real estate law and exposure to complex land or project work
- Passionate about the renewable energy sector and contributing to the UK’s net zero goals
- A confident communicator with a collaborative, client-focused mindset
What’s on Offer:
- A collaborative, high-performing team with real depth in both real estate and energy law
- Access to market-leading projects and blue-chip clients
- Flexible hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in the office)
Competitive salary, generous bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package
