We facilitate investment in sustainability by helping large asset owners and our membership community to build knowledge and confidence via shared insights, research, and programming that focuses on the question of ‘how’ to invest in the decarbonization transition.
CREO seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to support its expanding initiatives in emerging markets. This role will contribute to advancing climate and sustainability investments across select geographies, sectors, and asset classes.
This position will strengthen CREO’s network of stakeholders and strategic partners relevant to its emerging markets working group and its externally facing partnerships to develop solutions to de-risk and increase private capital deployment into energy transition, climate, and sustainability opportunities in emerging markets.
Responsibilities will also include sourcing, reviewing, and tracking relevant investment opportunities, helping to grow CREO’s network in emerging markets, coordinating virtual and in-person knowledge-building sessions for CREO members, and overseeing the drafting of bi-monthly newsletters and ad-hoc communications. The Analyst will also support researching and writing pieces on climate and sustainability investments in emerging markets.
The Analyst will need to keep up to date with deal flow trends, identify new business models and financing vehicles, and understand the impact of policy and philanthropy in select geographies. To play a thought leadership role, this person will be skilled at synthesizing business intelligence for internal and external use and recommending actions based on their research and analysis. My duties will also include tracking and reporting on member- and ecosystem-partner-led investments in emerging markets. Lastly, this position will ensure that emerging market opportunities and data are accurately identified, tagged, and actioned in databases and CREO’s Data and Research Platform to support relevant KPIs.
This position will work closely with CREO’s Investment, Operations, and Strategic Initiatives teams and report to CREO’s Regional President, EMEA and India.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge of investing in emerging and private markets, preferably in sustainability.
- A minimum of 4 years in equity research, investment banking, development finance, or management consulting
- Experience convening stakeholders, developing and delivering programmatic material essential
- Commercial acumen with robust analytical skills, data, and financial modelling experience preferred
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to assume additional responsibilities
- Experience designing and writing copy for decks (PowerPoint and Keynote) and synthesizing data sets into actionable intelligence.
- Comfort working in a multi-time-zone setting that leverages cloud-based platforms for work activities and communications, including Outlook, Slack, Salesforce, and Airtable
- Demonstration of the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Compensation & Benefits
This role will be paid an annual base salary between £75,000 and £85,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, this role will be eligible for semi-annual performance bonuses.
