People Advisor (Part-Time)

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic People Advisor to join the People Team here at Project One to help us to continue to create a great workplace where creativity and collaboration thrive. If you’re ready to bring your expertise and enthusiasm, we want to hear from you!

What we can offer you:

  • The successful applicant will be supporting the People Team for 30 hours per week, which can be arranged over 4 or 5 days depending on your preference.
  • Hybrid Working Arrangement: Two days remote work and three days in the office.

Responsibilities include:

  • HR Strategy: With a business partner approach, you will be key in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Engagement: Acting as an ambassador for culture and supporting with engagement surveys and contribute to culture through various assignments and projects
  • Employee Relations: Providing appropriate HR advice and support on key issues such as disciplinary, grievance, exit interviews, absence management, RTW and capability, in line with current employment law and company policies/procedures.
  • Ambassador – Be an ambassador for the function and represent Project One internally and externally (as appropriate).
  • Policy Development: Reviewing and maintaining People policies, ensuring all documentation is in line with recent legislation and accurately uploaded to the company portal.
  • Compliance/GDPR: Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, including GDPR, up to date contracts of employment and by implementing appropriate measures to protect employee data and maintaining accurate records of all data processing activities.
  • Performance Management: Supporting and guiding managers to develop performance improvement plans and issue relevant correspondence.
  • Change Management: Supporting organisational change initiatives and helping employees adapt to new processes and systems.
  • Benefits Review: Assessing the current employee benefits package, benchmarking against industry standards, and gathering employee feedback to ensure the offerings are competitive, relevant, and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Support: In addition to administration support for the people team, you will act as a point of escalation for complex queries and support with conflict resolution, ensuring they are either resolved and managed appropriately.
  • DEI: Contribute to the ongoing strategy on DEI

What we look for:

  • Experience: CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) with a solid foundation in generalist HR within a complex organisation of similar size.
  • Strategic Thinking: As the People Partner for Project One, you will need to align HR practices with business strategies and help shape the business strategy.
  • Problem-Solving: Comfortable working with business leaders and managers to address workforce challenges.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effective stakeholder management is essential, involving the identification of key stakeholders, understanding their needs and expectations, and engaging with them through transparent communication and collaboration.
  • Empathy and Discretion: Understanding the needs of employees and maintaining confidentiality is critical.
  • Collaboration: A genuine desire to work as part of a team.
  • Digital Acumen: Knowledge of digital tools and technologies that can enhance HR practice.
