Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing development of a dedicated team.
  • Ensure effective systems for reporting, monitoring, and maintaining nursery operations.
  • Manage occupancy levels, budgets, and financial targets to meet nursery goals.
  • Oversee accurate use of the Connect Childcare database system.
  • Ensure all extra-curricular activities align with the EYFS requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and optimize staff deployment across the nursery.
  • Take full responsibility for safeguarding, child protection, and the well-being of the children.
  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum in a creative and impactful way.
  • Foster strong relationships with external professionals and the Nursery SENDCo team.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant recruitment process for all staff members.
  • Create weekly rotas and attendance registers to ensure smooth operation.
  • Provide clear policies and procedures, ensuring all staff are supported in their roles.
  • Promote the physical health and well-being of every child in the nursery.
