Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledgeand specialist skills to support pupils learning.2. Develop and implement individual education plans.3. Establish productive relationships with pupils,acting as a role model and responding to the needs of each individual child,acting as a role model and setting high expectations.4. To actively promote inclusive practice within theclassroom setting to ensure acceptance of all children.5. Encourage children to play and interact with oneanother.6. Support pupils consistently whilst recognising andresponding to their individual needs.7. To have challenging expectations that encourageschildren to act independently and build self esteem.8. Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progressand achievementSupport for theTeacher1. Organise andmanage appropriate learning environments and resources for learning2. Within anagreed system of supervision, plan challenging teaching and learning objectivesand evaluate and adjust learning plans as appropriate.3. Monitor andevaluate pupils’ responses to learning activities through observation andplanned recording of achievement against agreed,Pre-determined, learning objectives.4. Provide theteacher with accurate and objective feed back on pupil progress and othermatters, ensuring the availability of supporting evidence.5. Undertake themaintenance of pupils’ records and accurately record achievement.6. Support theteacher in the management of pupil behaviour.7. Establishconstructive relationships with parents and carers and participate in feedbacksessions as directed.8. Administerand mark tests and invigilate exams.9. Undertake themarking of pupils’ work.10. Produce lesson plans, work sheets etWhat the school offers its staff Regular CPD training provided in person and online.Further details about the role We are looking for two HLTAs to join our teamfrom September and their roles will be vital in helping our new studentstransition to high school.The successful candidate will work completely withone of our Year 7 classes alongside a group of teachers.
