Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Legal Services Department for a permanent position as a Legal Executive in the Legal Services Department at Kent Police Coldharbour Police Complex, London Road, Maidstone. The post holder will be responsible for the processing and presentation of applications for Domestic Violence Protection Orders (“DVPO”). The objective of DVPO’s is to enhance the protection of victims and allow better management of perpetrators.
Responsibilities
- Act as an advocate in the Magistrates’ Court on behalf of the Chief Constable of Kent Police to seek DVPO’s.
- Manage a personal case load which includes licensing, civil injunctions, crime enquiries, and other civil orders.
Qualifications
You should be a Legal Executive or have an equivalent legal qualification and preferably have advocacy experience in the Magistrates’ Court. A knowledge of police policies and procedures would be beneficial.
Additional Information
The post will require attendance at Court on a Saturday and will therefore be subject to a rota arrangement. Your own transport and a valid driving license are essential to this role.

Kent Police offers incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £45,591.00.
