We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exciting and inclusive school community in Islington, London. This is an incredible opportunity to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), providing tailored support and guidance to help them thrive academically and socially.The Role:• Work closely with a Year 2 pupil with PDA, understanding their unique needs and implementing effective strategies to support them.• Build a trusting and positive relationship with the pupil, using gentle and empathetic approaches to reduce anxiety and encourage engagement.• Assist in creating a structured and supportive learning environment, using creative and flexible methods to meet the pupil’s needs.• Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to ensure consistent and effective support.About the School:This school is a vibrant and welcoming institution, reflecting the rich diversity of the local community.
