My client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to take ownership of their DC across the back shift (14:30 – 23:00).
Our client is a fast-moving distribution business based in Sheffield. This is a critical role for someone with a strong background leading teams within a Warehouse Operations and working with automation and WMS.
About the Role
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations and will have the following key responsibilities:
- Strategic and Operational Oversight
- Leadership and Team Management:
- KPI Management and Reporting
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
Candidate Expectations
Candidates wishing to be considered will need to meet the following requirements:
- Extensive experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least three years in a management role. – Essential
- Proven track record in managing large teams and meeting demanding operational targets. – Essential
- Advanced proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. – Essential
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. – Essential
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. – Essential
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards. – Essential
- Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential. – Advantageous
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies advantageous. – Advantageous
The successful candidate will receive a salary between £40,000 & £50,000 + Benefits.
The role will cover a back shift from 1430 – 2300, Mon to Fri.
