Maintenance Engineer (Engineer)

Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrical Technician with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and experience in PLC/HMI Controls to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Siemens PLC and HMI systems, with a focus on airside operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting critical systems while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical machinery* Ensure all equipment is operating to specification, following company procedures and safety protocols.* Work with Siemens PLC/HMI systems for system diagnostics, programming, and updates.* Carry out fault diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical and control systems, ensuring minimal downtime.* Adhere to airside safety and security protocols and complete all necessary paperwork.* Respond to urgent repair needs, ensuring timely resolution to maintain operational efficiency.* Support the continuous improvement of systems and equipment.* Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and equipment performance.Required Qualifications and Experience:* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).* Proven experience working with PLC and HMI controls, Siemens systems preferred.* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Additional Requirements:* Airside vetting to CTC level (Counter Terrorist Check) is required.* Must be able to work the shift pattern as per the operational requirements.Desirable Skills:* Experience with Siemens PLC programming and HMI systems.* Prior experience working in an airport or similar regulated environment…
