Role Overview
Our client is seeking a qualified clinician to join their Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team, conducting Autism and/or ADHD evaluations for children referred through NHS Patient Choice. This role will be based at a new clinic in the North East, with hybrid working options available for those able to travel for in-person assessments. Part-time roles will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for Autism and ADHD using established tools.
- Assess mental health conditions where required.
- Prepare professional assessment reports with appropriate recommendations.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and support junior staff, depending on experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, or Occupational Therapist, OR
- NMC-registered Nurse, OR
- GMC-registered Paediatrician.
- Experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments with children and/or adults.
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis.
- ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
