Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced WebMethods Architect with deep expertise in WebMethods upgrades, migration, and architectural design. The ideal candidate will be proficient in WebMethods Integration Suite, API Gateway, B2B solutions, and hybrid cloud integrations. This role requires hands-on experience in modernizing existing WebMethods platforms and ensuring seamless integration with cloud and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the upgrade & migration of WebMethods Integration Suite from older versions to the latest releases.
• Design and implement WebMethods architecture, ensuring best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
• Conduct impact analysis and ensure a smooth transition during WebMethods upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Architect and implement hybrid cloud integration solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Oversee the development and deployment of Integration Services, API Gateway policies, and B2B/EDI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring development teams on best practices in error handling, logging, and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex WebMethods integration, performance, and security issues.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and DevOps teams.
• Optimize WebMethods configurations for high availability, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with SOA principles, security policies, and governance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in WebMethods integration, API Gateway, and B2B solutions.
• Hands-on experience with WebMethods upgrade projects (from 9.x to 10.x or later).
• Strong expertise in WebMethods Integration Server, API Gateway, Universal Messaging, and Trading Networks.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, DevOps, and cloud-based WebMethods deployments.
• Proficiency in SOAP & REST API development, security protocols, and governance policies.
• Strong troubleshooting & performance tuning experience in WebMethods.
• Experience in Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and Hybrid Integrations.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• WebMethods certification (e.g., Software AG Certified Integration Professional).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud Integration platforms.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure integration services.
