SEN Teaching Assistant – Join Our Supportive Team!We’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities:– Provide 1:1 support and assist in small group settings, helping students reach their full potential– Deliver tailored interventions and support strategies, working closely with teachers and SENCOs– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and confidence– Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies– Support students’ academic and social development, building essential life skills– Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs, facilitating understanding and progress– Provide pastoral care and emotional support, ensuring students feel safe and valued– Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers, parents, and relevant professionals
Requirements:– Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN in a school or similar setting– Relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (desirable but not essential)– Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children with diverse needs– Strong communication and teamwork skills– Commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and student wellbeing– Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and willingness to undergo relevant training
