Product Manager

Job Description

A customer focused Building Society are looking for a Product Development Manager to lead the charge in shaping the future of their product range across savings and mortgages. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, working alongside internal and external stakeholders to bring new ideas to life!

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the creation of impactful product and channel strategies that align with both business objectives and customer expectations. within Savings and Mortgages.
• Spot new opportunities in the market for both current and future products, transforming them into actionable plans.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle, from concept and approval to successful launch and execution.
• Work closely with key stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, and industry groups, to enhance product development and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Champion the customer’s perspective, ensuring their needs are at the forefront throughout the product development process.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, especially in financial services, and evaluate their potential impact on the business.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with product creation and rollout.
• Assist in maintaining product governance standards, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Continuously refine product management insights to ensure accurate, timely decision-making.

Role Requirements

• Qualifications & Knowledge: Deep understanding of savings, regulatory regimes, and FCA principles.
• Experience: Proven track record in new product development, from market analysis to successful launch within Savings and ideally within mortgages too.
• Skills: Strong negotiation and influencing skills, strategic thinking, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to analyse data to drive improvement.
