Project Manager – Super Prime Residential
The Company
We have partnered with a unique high end resi contractor that completely fly under the radar as they win most of their work by word of mouth, rather than spending extra money on advertisement.
The Owner/MD of this business is very finincially savvy and understands how to run a business (regardless of the sector). When he had his own home renovated about 7 years ago, he was so impressed by the small firm of nineguys that took on the work, that he offered and bought the company. 7 years later he’s grown it to a profitable business that turn’s over just shy of 20m a year. One of the original team of nine is Construction Director and they’re triving in their market.
The MD’s strong financial and business mindset has allowed him to keep the business running with plenty of cash in the bank, minimising the risk of his company going into administration (like so many are these days).
The Projects
This business typically has 15-20 projects going at a time, ranging in values from 500k up to 5m. The majority of the work is in Central London, with the occasional project out in Surrey.
They take on a lot of residential projects with heavy structural alterations, large basement digs, internal reconfiguration, extentions. Many of which will then have a luxury fit out package, finished to the highest specification.
The Role
With the steady growth of the business, there’s a need to take on a skilled Project Manager. Someone with experience working on High End Residentail projects in London, preferably with a handful of heavy structural projects under their belt.
As a PM for this contractor, you’ll be working on 2-3 projects at a time, writing and keeping track of the programme, dealing with difficult clients on a weekly/daily basis. With Site Managers working below you, reporting into the Project and Construction Directors.
The Package
The MD has made it very clear to us that he’s willing to pay a good salary for someone who is ultimately going to make the business a profit on the prjects.
With this in mind, the salary can range from 80,000 to 95,000 + Package.
