Business Development Manager

My client is a trusted provider of qualified labour to the civils, highways, and construction industries. They are seeking a hungry, driven and professional Business Development Manager who will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to developing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and driving growth for the company.

Business Development Manager – Experience:

  • At least 6 years in experience in the rail, engineering, or construction industries
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to achieve expected KPIs

What a day to day as a Business Development Manager will look like:

  • Develop and implement a business development strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Identify and secure new opportunities within the construction sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process: lead generation, proposal development, presentations, and deal closure.
  • Prepare commercial documents including proposals, tenders, and contracts.
  • Track KPIs and provide regular performance and pipeline reports to senior management.
  • Attend trade shows, site meetings, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, resourcing, marketing, operations) to ensure aligned execution.
