Due to our continued growth here at Woodforde’s, we are on the lookout for an exceptional Sales Development Manager to join our on-trade sales team to cover Suffolk.
We’ve been brewing great tasting beer with passion & pride for over four decades. You’ll find us at the heart of the Norfolk Broads where we use the best locally grown malt, carefully selected hops, and water from the ancient aquifer below us to brew our award-winning beers.
You would be joining a team all committed to one thing – producing and selling great tasting beer!
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and forging close working relationships with existing customers in a designated territory, to increase sales and profit while managing costs.
- Consistently identifying and securing sustainable long-term new business relationships by understanding each customer’s needs and offering the right solutions.
- Meeting individual sales and profit targets and working closely with the wider Woodforde’s Brewery team.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a knowledge of the drinks industry, excellent organisation skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
Must Haves:
- Great people skills – approachable, trustworthy, and confident – exceeding customer expectations and forging strong relationships.
- Strong sales skills – listening, presenting, and closing the sale.
- Be sales-driven/focused and have the passion and tenacity to achieve results.
- Ability to plan and organise daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as effectively as possible and to work in a fun and fast-paced environment.
- Good presentation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willing to work some evenings and weekends.
- Full UK Driving License.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience of PowerPoint and use of CRM data.
- Knowledge of or have worked in the food and beverage industry.
- Experience of working with a range of products and key customers.
- Live within the Suffolk territory (as the role is field-based).
