BizTalk Consultant – Inside IR35

A BizTalk consultant is required for an initial 9 month contract. This is a hybrid role with 2 days on site in Milton Keynes and is inside IR35 so will require working via an FCSA accredited umbrella company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement BizTalk solutions to meet business requirements.
• Develop and deploy integrations using BizTalk Server.
• Perform BizTalk upgrades and migration.
• Monitor and optimize BizTalk applications for performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with best practices, security policies, and integration standards.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience with Microsoft BizTalk Server (2004/2006/2010/2013/2020).
• A technical background and working knowledge and experience of Windows Server.
• Experience of application support, security hardening and performance tuning.
• Ability to troubleshoot low-level issues.
• Excellent communication skills including an ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Previous experience working in a regulated environment.
• Hands-on experience with BizTalk upgrades and migration.
• Hands-on experience with adapters.
• Experience with BizTalk monitoring solutions including SCOM and Dynatrace.
• Strong knowledge of integration frameworks, Orchestrations, Transformation and mapping.
• Familiarity with enterprise application integration and messaging protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of any of IIS, .Net Framework, PowerShell, IBM MQ, Host Integration Service (HIS) and SQL Server.
• Experience of ServiceNow.
