We have an exciting opportunity for an ARB-registered Technical Architect to join our busy flagship studio in London and to develop your career in a well-structured, supportive environment. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and ambitious individual who has completed their Part III. You will enjoy working as part of a team and excellent communication skills are essential.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project Lead to evaluate and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory issues
  • Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
  • Identify the surveys (e.g. land surveys) required before work can commence, ensuring they’re undertaken, and results are fed into the project
  • Under guidance from the Project Lead, prepare and present design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and/or REVIT, as well as traditional drawing methods
  • Advise clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work they are undertaking
  • Produce, analyse and advise on detailed specifications for suitable materials or processes to be used
  • Carry out design-stage risk assessments
  • Appraise the performance of buildings which are in use and produce maintenance management information
  • Evaluate and advise on refurbishment, re-use, recycling and deconstruction
  • Architect with post-Part III experience and proven technical design capabilities
  • Commitment to developing high quality design information with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to present and communicate design ideas and concepts
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe packages, Revit (an advantage) and Photoshop
  • Technical experience working in a cross section of sectors preferred
