Position
Position: Customer Account Support Officer
Salary: £38,000 per annum plus benefits
Requirements
- To assist the Income Team in ensuring the organisation’s high customer service standards are achieved and core business objectives are met.
- To be responsible for the Income Team’s core administrative duties to include hardship fund applications, minute taking at meetings, court bundle preparation, taking rent payments, producing rent statements, preparing, and overseeing former tenant accounts with a view to liaising with external collection agencies, phone cover, and assisting with the team’s overall income recovery objectives.
- To communicate and work closely with local authority partners as requested regarding Housing Benefit and Discretionary Housing Payment claims; with the DWP regarding Universal Credit Claims; and with Social Services and any other relevant agencies.
- To assist and support tenants who are in arrears as instructed by the Income Team.
- To liaise with tenants, their relatives and/or statutory/voluntary services as requested.
- To ensure record keeping is up to date and all correspondence and communication are recorded on our housing management system.
- Working outside of normal office hours occasionally, as required to meet the needs of the service.
Whilst the focus of the role is to support the Income Recovery team, you will be expected to support your colleagues (as and when required) with letting properties, inspecting our estates conduct tenancy audits, and other tenancy management issues.
