About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Head of Business Development to lead and manage sales teams, driving business growth. This role will involve recruiting, training, and motivating multiple sales teams to achieve ambitious annual targets. You will develop and implement strategic sales plans, set performance objectives, and ensure teams are fully equipped for success.

To excel in this role, you will need outstanding leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, along with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships. A strategic mindset, data-driven approach, and a track record of successfully managing sales teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead, inspire, and drive sales teams to achieve company targets
  2. Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with business objectives
  3. Recruit, mentor, and coach high-performing sales professionals
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  5. Identify new business opportunities and expand partnerships
  6. Monitor performance, analyse data, and implement improvements to drive sales success
  7. Utilise CRM systems, Power BI, and Excel to generate reports and track progress
  8. Collaborate with marketing and partnership teams to expand the organisation’s reach
  9. Manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to maximise sales efficiency
  10. Ensure accurate reporting of sales pipelines and team performance

About YouEssential Skills & Experience:

  1. Proven experience leading and managing sales teams to exceed targets
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, inspire, and motivate
  3. Data-driven approach with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases
  4. Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  5. Ability to work under pressure and proactively resolve challenges
  6. Goal-oriented with a tenacious and confident approach to achieving targets
  7. Strong sales, marketing, and networking skills
  8. Adaptable and always seeking ways to improve processes
  9. Knowledge of apprenticeship programmes is advantageous but not essential; candidates with Business Development experience in recruitment, training, or related services sectors are encouraged to apply
