Our client, a leading player in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the growth of their aerospace portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Head of Airworthiness and Safety (AW&S) to maintain and manage the aerospace-compliant Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring adherence to all Product Safety requirements.
• Provide expert advice to Project Teams on Product Safety.
• Lead and execute Safety Management activities.
• Represent the Safety department in Customer and Internal Design Reviews.
• Develop, review, and approve safety documentation.
• Assist the Head of AW&S in developing and implementing in-house safety management training programs across the organisation.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven expertise in safety engineering within design contexts.
• Experience with Def Stan 00-056 and/or Mil Std 882.
• Familiarity with ARP 4754 and ARP 4761 standards.
• Extensive experience in aviation safety.
• High attention to detail.
