Location: Newport, Isle of Wight

Contract Duration: May 2025, Initially 3 months

Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days, ideally including Monday)

Rate: £24.00ph – £26.00ph (Umbrella Equivalent)

About the Role

We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a NHS Hospital in Isle of Wight. This is an exciting opportunity to work across inpatient and community settings, covering a variety of specialist areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Manage a defined caseload using evidence-based, patient-centred approaches.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
• Work across different specialist areas within inpatient and community settings.
• Supervise and support Occupational Therapy students on placement.
• Provide leadership to junior staff, including Band 5 OTs and therapy assistants.
• Contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy service.
• Maintain HCPC registration and engage in ongoing professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexibly across varied healthcare settings.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Passion for developing services and improving patient outcomes.
