Early Years Educator

Purpose of the Role: The Early Years Educator will be responsible for providing exceptional care and stimulating play experiences to all children. This role ensures that children’s individual needs are met and that the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is effectively supported in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

£14.60 per hour 

• Qualifications:
• Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., NNEB, BTEC Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Care and Education, CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education). 

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and engaging activities for children, ensuring both individual and group needs are met in a safe, stimulating environment.
• Familiarize yourself with key policies, especially related to safeguarding, equal opportunities, behaviour management, and health and safety
• Collaborate with Early Years professionals, such as Health Visitors and SEN services.
• Flexibly respond to staffing needs, including occasionally working outside of regular hours if needed.
• Assist in supporting parents and families, encouraging their involvement in their child’s learning and development.
• Address parent concerns promptly, ensuring management is informed as needed.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience working with children and families, particularly in diverse urban settings.
  • Experience with BAME communities and working with children aged 6 months to 5 years.
  • At least two years’ post-qualification experience in Early Years settings.
  • Experience supporting students and apprentices.

  • Warm, enthusiastic, and personable with a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in observing and planning high-quality developmental experiences for children.
