An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Head of Compliance Assurance to join a leading Lloyds Insurance organisation. This role is perfect for an individual with a strong background in compliance, risk management, and regulatory affairs within the insurance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing compliance assurance services, developing and delivering annual Compliance Assurance Plans, and managing key compliance risks. - Lead the development and delivery of annual Compliance Assurance Plans.
- Manage key compliance risks at both Group and entity levels.
- Act as the primary point of contact within Compliance for other assurance functions.
What you’ll do:As the Head of Compliance Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s compliance strategy. Your main responsibility will be to develop a comprehensive compliance risk-based assurance plan that covers key compliance risks at both Group and entity levels. You will also contribute significantly to the Compliance Plan and other initiatives aimed at enhancing our compliance framework. In addition, you will manage the framework which includes Compliance Risk/Thematic reviews and ongoing Compliance Monitoring activities. As the primary point of contact within Compliance for other assurance functions such as Risk, Audit, ICoFR, you will have a significant impact on how we manage our compliance risks and controls.

- Contribute to the Compliance Plan and other Compliance initiatives.
- Manage the framework which includes Compliance Risk/Thematic reviews and ongoing Compliance Monitoring activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact within Compliance for other assurance functions (Risk, Audit, ICoFR) regarding Compliance risks and controls.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Annual Compliance Plan in coordination with the broader Group Assurance Planning.
- Maintain policies and standards for testing and monitoring of compliance controls throughout the organisation.
What you bring:As an ideal candidate for this Head of Compliance Assurance role, you bring advanced competency in applying Compliance monitoring and testing related to key regulatory risks such as economic sanctions, anti-money laundering, fraud licensing, privacy conflicts of interest, code of conduct, anti-corruption, anti-trust, and records management. You have experience establishing assurance frameworks to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls. Your industry acumen, including a thorough understanding of business operations, finance, risk, as well as working understanding of actuarial aspects, will be invaluable in this role. Your excellent organisational, written, verbal and presentation skills will enable you to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Advanced competency with applying Compliance monitoring and testing related to key regulatory risks.
- Experience establishing assurance frameworks to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls.
- Insurance / reinsurance industry experience is essential.
- Industry acumen, including a thorough understanding of business operations, finance, risk, as well as working understanding of actuarial aspects.
- Excellent organisational, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence behaviour of others to bring about desired change or results.
- Experience with MS Office software – Excel, Word and Outlook.
